Losing Perspective

Have you ever noticed someone who has completely lost perspective on how they come across or look? Possibly you've found yourself in that place? You know, when you've done something for so long, that you don't realize how far you've taken it or that you've past the point of classy to just being "too much".

Like those people who tweeze their eyebrows so thin that they barely exist? It wont be until they look back on pictures 10 years from now that they'll see, they've lost perspective.

Or the people who are soooo tan that their insides have to be darker than my skin? It's not until they take a group picture and wonder who the bronze statue is only to realize it's themself that they'll see, they've lost perspective.

How about the people that have had so many surgeries to plump, tighten, lift, and enhance that they look like a piece of plastic? It's not until they mistaken themself for Michael Jackson that they'll see, they've lost perspective.

Maybe it's the people that have dyed their hair blonde in order to cover their gray, only to be so bleached that they look like they've got white hair? It's not until they see a picture of themselves with their grandmother and realize they look older than she does, that they see, they've lost perspective.

It could be that person that just wanted to start by wearing some mascara, only to realize their eye makeup resembles Ronald McDonald? It's not until someone tells them they look like Oprah that they see, they've lost perspective.

Or finally, how about thos people that were too lazy to cut their hair but end up growing it out way past what would be considered "age appropriate"? It's not until I saw a picture of myself today that I realized, I'd lost perspective! :)

Thanks to my friend who was trying out his new iphone for helping this girl out!

So funny tam...but I still think your hair looks beautiful...not inappropriate for your age. I'd be happy to have hair like yours.

by the way, is it a swedish fish?

i do not think you're hair is too long. i think it's lovely. but if it is too long for your age, i can only imagine what is thought of mine. :)

I think you're hair is beautiful Tami!

Is it okay that I keep guessing random things? I have another one...a Peanut Butter M&M?

tami - this is hilarious. As you know, we are nearly the same age. :) About a year ago I decided to chop my long hair and people magically stopped mistaking me for a 21 year old. Now, there are some days that I wouldn't mind looking like a 21 year old. :)

I loved this blog. How about a couple more people who lose perspective.

1. People who let themselves get to like 400 lbs. Then they have Diabetes, heart disease and other crap. Weighing 400 lbs is far more dangerous than smoking. I don't understand how that happens. Your body is a temple of God, don't abuse it like that

2. People who are bald and then have a combover. I also think it is pathetic when someone has like 20 hairs on the top of their head and still insist on gelling them. Give it up.

My feet are killing me this a.m. (the morning after)
I am a 55 yr old grandmother who wore 4.25" heels for 7 hours!
This morning I am getting a little perspective.
