I have no nominations, because everyone I would nominate lives in FL with me and you know none of them, so it would be no fun.
Anyways....I just want to get back to your last blog, and the interview with Gary Bauer (Jack's cousin). I thought it was an interesting view, because a couple of weeks ago I was sitting and watching some coverage, and many of the same thoughts occured to me.
Much like you Tami, I am a political junkie, I love following the issues and the candidates, and watching the debates. I kept getting frustrated because it was obvious that BO was absolutely demolishing McCain. I was laying in bed later thinking about it, and realized that I have so much more in my life to be depressed or upset about than politics.
I thought to myself, honestly, what can Barack Obama actually do to my life to really cause problems? He can raise my taxes, but then again, I'll just have to give more to Lifesong to make sure my income stays below $200,000 or whatever his newest number is. He will never have the support to institute nationalized healthcare, no matter how many gay people get married it really doesn't effect my family or my friends(except my gay friends).
It's kinda like when the Hawkeyes or Cardinals have a bad season. I am so upset, but really there will be another election, there will be another year and another season.
Barack Obama is one man, he doesn't have the power to ruin my life, ruin my country, ruin my family. There have been bad presidents, bad leaders and people have survived. Italy survived Mussolini, Germany survived Hitler, Japan survived Hirohoto, and Barack Obama is definitely not any of those dudes.
God is in control. No matter how many babies are aborted, no matter how many soldiers are killed, whatever issue we feel strongly about, God feels much stronger about it than we do.
thanks to my mom for coming out and helping with a million things around the house, with the kids, the yard, the personal shower for rach, getting groceries, etc. etc. ~shar
