Just in case you've either mistaken that picture for a toddler's set of ankles and feet, or you assume I just have really fat ankles, let me give you a point of reference...
That's not even an accurate contrast because my feet and calves in the second picture are actually STILL swollen!!!...as you can see, there's still the flip-flop indent in my foot...but at least it gives some idea of how badly I swelled up!!!

Here's another shot!
If you're like me, you're either laughing or ready to gag!!! Lets just say, the combination of planes, buses, and MAJOR dehydration takes a pretty ugly toll on my poor piglets and ankles. :) You would think I'd try to save some self dignity by not posting these pictures, but I was laughing so hard by time I got home, I just had to share! I told a friend on the trip, "You know it's getting bad when your flip flops are getting tight!!!" Wow.
I'll post later about the more important aspects of the trip! :D

Tami, I am still laughing at these pictures...when you told me yesterday you had some aweful pictures of your feet I thought your were probably exagerating a bit. But, alas, these are some amazingly swollen feet! I'm glad they are slowly decreasing in size!
I love you!
I too was laughing/crying at your feet. It made me think about when we went to Japan together and had swollen feet and couldn't fit our shoes on at the end of the trip, because we stupidly took them off. Wow, I am glad you leared to travel in flipflops.
Also, I would like to nominate you for the forgiveness. Rebekah was ALWAYS the first to appologize, but you were the first to forgive. You still forgive so quickly. There are specific times in my mind, not just with me, that I remember you saying you forgave even before the person asked...now that's true forgiveness!
I, too, think of you as an incredible example of forgiveness Tami. I think, more than anything, you have taught me the power of CHOOSING to forgive and deliberating moving forward in that light. I know I too easily want to sit with my own emotions or hurt BEFORE my actions truly reflect forgiveness. So thank you for how you have taught me in that way.
and yes my friend, your feet looked pretty bad - they remind me of my own after the girls' c-section. I would have a huge indention from my slippers. Glad they're getting better! :)
Oh Tam! I've so been there with the swollen feet. But I can't say that I've ever had the urge to show pictures of them, my friend. You are a hoot!!!
Tami! Thats awful hopefully it wasn't painful. One year the sun got me good and because of dehydration and lack of protien (I didn't used to eat meat down here) The day I as to travel to the states I woke up and my knees and ankles and places I was supposed to bend to move were ALL Swollen it was NOT a fun travel day. Praise God you made it back and hopefully your ankles are back to normal:) I love you! Blessings
HAHA...they look like old lady feet.
Tami,
This exact same thing happened to me when I went on a work team to Juarez, MX once. I felt like i was walking around on elephant legs!! From now on when I fly and when I am in MX I keep myself hydrated!!
They will go down!

Ohhh Tami. Poor thing.
i'm right there with ya, tam! I got home and my ankles were the size of grapefruit! But two days at home, and they've reappeared in their natural state. I'm so glad I still have ankles under all that!
:)
