You know the 'run' isn't going well when:

- I'm moving so slowly that I can't remember if I'm running or walking
- I realize that I could walk faster than I 'run'
- I start rehersing my excuses for why I couldn't finish today's training
- I begin to seriously contemplate if sitting on the couch and moving my legs fast would be an equal replacement to this training.
- I think I'm running at a level 5 incline on the treadmill, only to find out that there is no incline at all.
- My arms are tired from holding myself up on the treadmill.
- I'm convinced that the movie I'm watching is playing in slow motion 'cause I KNOW it didn't take those twins this long to get their parents back together the last time I watched it.
- I make a list like this!

Tami, you are the best :) You had me laughing out loud!! (especially the part about the Parent Trap)

In just a few minutes I'm headed out to go run 5 miles, but my running buddy is supposed to run 7 and she's been training for a long time. I have a feeling this is going to be TERRIBLY ugly.

Will you be around next weekend? I hope to be in Bloomington Church on Sunday.

The dreaded treadmill runs. I despise running on the treadmill. You will enjoy running soooooo much more outside. I remember going to my apartment's workout area on really cold days in Peoria and trying to time my runs between 5 and 6 so I could watch Seinfeld while I ran.

Those episodes of Seinfeld, for the only time in my life seemed to drag on and on and on.

Once spring hits and you can run outside your life will be totally different.

I agree with Jonathan. Running outside will change SO much for you! The treadmill can be so discouraging, I think. When we were training we would make sure we went somewhere different (starved rock, diff parts of the constitution trail, ect) for our long runs to make it more interesting. That helped so much. If I wasnt prego right now, I would totally want to run with you all! I am partly jealous (but thankful to be prego).
Your list had me laughing outloud too :)

You're funny, Tam. But, I do respect you for keeping it up, even during the tough times. You are doing a great job!!!

Way to go Tam!

If it would help, you could come over and run alongside me walking. That would make your pace seem much quicker! ; )

I do the same thing! Amazing how quickly an episode of Full House goes by when I watch it from my bed but at 4.5 pace on the treadmill, I just couldn't hold out for the feel good father daughter talk and hug at the end of the episode! :-)
