I feel like I just found out that the earth is actually flat. Did you know that Thanksgiving is actually celebrated on the 4th Thursday of every month?! I have always thought it was the 3rd Thursday. I can't mentally adjust to it. It's like finding out that Christmas is actually December 14th. It just doesn't seem possible.
I'm hoping that there are others as astounded as I am...and for those of you who are, I googled it to make sure it's true (because, Google couldn't possibly be incorrect)! Here's a bit of history you may enjoy:
When is Thanksgiving? In the U.S., Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Beginning with George Washington in 1789, annual presidential proclamations had declared the last Thursday of November as Thanksgiving. However, in 1941, a United States Congressional declaration officially designated the fourth Thursday of November as the date of the Thanksgiving holiday.
