New Beginnings

I'm home from Mexico! What a great trip...great friendships made, maintained, and well, just a lot of good times. Loved it (pictures to come in a later post).

However, with coming home, there's been a lot of new beginnings...
Saturday; my dearest, best friend, and next door neighbor (some of you would know her as the friend with the trampoline) of my childhood got married on Saturday. I haven't seen or talked to her in a couple years, but when I saw her getting married I was all choked up and was pretty sentimental about the whole thing. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding in their backyard. I'll post pictures of that later as well.

Sunday; was the first day of what looks to be an exciting and hilarious year as thew newest Sunday school teacher for the 3 year olds. I didn't know about half of the kids that walked in the class but they are all so cute and they absolutely crack me up. I think this is going to be a great year of Sundays...this is coming from a girl that hated babysitting growing up! I have to admit, I was a little bummed at first because I was hoping for the 4 year old class 'cause I would have Josh and Chet in my class...but I'm really loving that group of 3 year olds. We were singing some songs at the beginning of class, but I have to admit, I only knew 2 of the songs! It was terrible. I was looking at little Caleb Lehman trying to read his lips until I realized I could probably follow a little closer from Karen Kieser. :) Good times!

Monday; so I have officially started my training for my new position here at State Farm today. It's been kind of slow...VERY laid back, but I think I'm going to like it! Not much else to say on that. I'm afraid there's no Dale and Cathy here, but hopefully, there will be some good stories on my Sundays to make up for my lack of Daleisms.

Happy Monday.

Tami,
I saw your comment on my blog and now I am using your blog for email.

My parents are actually in MX until Friday (about 11 days total). Mom really wanted to get together with you girls - to eat out, but that was quickly vetoed (if you know what I mean:) It has been a definite culture shock and quite the sttrreettcchh for my mom, but they are really enjoying their time with Seth.

Thought I'd answer for her since she won't be home for a while:)

I'm so glad you're back Tami! I've missed your posts. Who did you go to Mexico with? Was it a work trip or a pleasure trip? I want details, girl!

something funny-i loved babysitting growing up, and 3 year olds were one of my favorite ages, but when i became ss teacher for that age, i DID NOT enjoy it. isn't that weird?

maybe you have to hate babysitting to like to teach ss, or vice versa. :)
