Referring to Abraham and the promise that God gave him saying that he would have a son even though he and Sarah were too old:
"Who agains hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, 'So shall thy seed be'.
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God"
Romans 4:18-20
He staggered not at the promise of God...I'm so glad that God raised such heroes of faith, so when I stagger in faith, I can hear them cheering me on through their example to be strong in faith, giving all the glory to God.

Great reminder Tam! I love the first verse in Hebrews 12 following the "faith chapter". "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight andthe sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us..." I love the picture that all those mentioned in Hebrews 11 are the cloud of witnesses that are watching our race and cheering us on! Gives me more encouragement to try to lay aside the things that slow me down in the race!
Love ya tam!
Wonderful thoughts for the day Tami. I love your blog. -Heidi
